Psalms 23 (Office version)

The Lord is my CEO, always ready to pull up a chair and roll up his sleeves.
He keeps me calm, when I could just kill my clients.
He leads me to pray, when I’d just as soon scream.
He restores my sanity.
He guides my decisions that I might honor him in all that I do.

Even though I face absurd amounts of e-mail, voice-mail, snail mail, system failures, copier jams, back-ordered supplies, unrealistic deadlines, staff shortages, budget cutbacks, corporate restructuring, downsizing, endless mergers, gossiping co-workers, whining customers, and aggressive sales people who don’t know how to take “no” for an answer,
I won’t give up, for you are with me;

Your presence, peace and power, they see me through.
You raise me up, even when the boss fails to promote me.
You claim me as your own, even when the company threatens to let me go
Your loyalty and love are better than any bonus check!
Your retirement plan beats my 401K, and when it’s all said and done,
I’ll be working for you a whole lot longer than this outfit!

Thanks be to God!
