Honor Gods Name by the Way We Worship
His name is great, and He is worthy of our praise. Like an earthly father, He must rejoice when He hears His children praise Him with the use of His name. Below are some variations of God's name.
Adonai - 'Lord/Master/Ruler'. God alone is the head over all.
El Olam - 'God of Eternity'. He will never die.
El Elyon - 'The Most High God'. The sovereign ruler of the universe. Although man has free will, God overrules so that no man, angel, demon, or devil upset his plan. He is above all gods. Nothing in life is more sacred.
El Roi - 'The God Who Sees'. The omnipresent God is with you, and he sees it all. God oversees all creation and the affairs of all people.
El Shaddai - 'The Almighty, All Powerful, All-Sufficient One'. Nothing is beyond his ability; When we want to worship God's limitless power, we can raise our hands and declare El Shaddai.
Yahweh Nissi - 'The Lord Is My Banner'. We should remember God for helping us.
Elohim - 'God. Creator'. This designates God as God. Refers to God's power and might. He is the only supreme and true God.
JAH - 'He Is' and 'The Independent One'. This is the Shortened form of Jehovah.
Yahweh - 'I AM WHO I AM'. The Lord. The proper name of the divine person. When we worship Yahweh, we give adoration to the Great I AM - the external source of life and existence.
Jehovah Yireh - 'The Lord Will Provide'. The Provider of our salvation. This name carries promise. He sees all of our needs. God will provide our real needs. When we feel gracious, call out this name.
Yahweh Elohe Yisrael - 'Lord God Of Israel'. He is the God of the nation.
Qedosh Yisrael - 'Holy One Of Israel"'. God is morally perfect.
Jehovah Meqoddishkem (or M'Qaddesh) - 'The Lord Who Sanctifies You'
Yahweh Tsidkenu - 'The Lord Is Our Righteousness'. God is our standard for right behavior. He alone can make us righteous.
Jehovah Rapha (Rophi) - 'God Who Heals'
Jehovah Raah (Rohi) - 'The Lord My Our Shepherd'
Yahweh Sabaoth -'The Lord of Hosts'. It is used to refer to a host of angels or heavenly bodies, a celestial army, all the heavenly powers. God is our savior and protector.
Yahweh Shalom - 'The Lord Is Peace'. God gives us peace so we need not fear.
Jehovah Shammah - 'The Lord Who Is There'. God is always present with us.
Attiq Yomin - 'Ancient Days'. God is the ultimate authority. He will one day judge all nations.
